Michel Czehatowski, L.Ac. graduated from the San Francisco College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in June 1984 and has been licensed by the State of California to practice acupuncture since October 1984. In addition his education includes:

  • Certificate of Completion in International Studies of Oriental Medicine, Kyung Hee University, Seoul, South Korea, October 1998.

  • Certificates in Chinese Language Studies (Level A - July 1999; Level B3 - August 2009), College of Intensive Language Studies, Beijing Language and Culture University, Beijing, People's Republic of China.

  • Certificate of Training, Department Of Acupuncture and Moxibustion, Beijing Hospital, Ministry of Health, PR China, May 2001.

  • Certificate of Training, Advanced Class on Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine, Beijing, PR China, April 14-20, 2011. Wangjing Hospital, China Academy of Chinese Medicine Sciences.

  • Subject Matter Expert for the State of California Acupuncture Board 2005 - 2012.

  • Diplomate of Oriental Medicine (Dipl. O.M. NCCAOM), April 2019

  • Completion of 25 hours of Continuing Education every year.

The Chinese exercise Tai Chi is practiced to restore and maintain health and flexibility. Michel has been practicing Tai Chi since the Mid-1970's. He teaches Tai Chi through the Shasta College Community Education program and also at Unity Church (no affiliation). Michel Czehatowski's original acupuncture practice was called Redding Acupuncture Center and was located on Hilltop Drive. Over the years the practice has grown and for many years he worked under the business name East Earth Trade Winds selling Chinese herbal products and practicing acupuncture. In 2008 he separated East Earth Trade Winds from the acupuncture practice and incorporated the acupuncture part of the business under the name Redding Acupuncture Health Care, A Professional Corporation.  He continues to operate East Earth Trade Winds which is a nationally known supplier of Chinese herbs and herb products.
